We try very hard to offer items that are not only different but in many ways are unique, some items can even be personalised, this is where we stand out from the crowd and truly offer a special gift that makes us different. We encourage our customers to shop around, but are very pleased to welcome them back again and again.

It is inevitable in an open market like the internet that there will be some individuals selling some items cheaper than we do, and some selling them for more than we do, just as in the high street. We take great pride in offering a fast, efficient, friendly and secure shopping experience, with great products at fair prices.

Vat
We do not currently charge Vat, but may do at a later date.

Privacy Policy

What information we hold about you
If you have bought something from us, we will have your name, e-mail address, phone number, (mobile & Fax Number, Optional) and your mailing address. If you choose to deliver items to a third-party (such as a friend) we will have their name and address.
This Information is only used to help us deliver the parcels and contact you.

If you have requested a Reminder or if you have been Recommended to our site by someone, we will have your email address and name.

What we do with your information
We also maintain an order history of your purchases. This allows us to offer you a reward for purchases, send you special offers or inform you of new products. This will be sent out in the form of a monthly e-mail News letter and the occasional "Minimail". These may be sent out using your e-mail and or postal address.

These are only sent to you if you have been recommended to our site, if you have requested a Reminder or if you have made a purchase.

We NEVER exchange, sell or otherwise give away your email address to other companies. Your email address is used solely for emailing you regarding your orders and to update you with our newsletter. Returns/Guarantees Policy

No Quibbles Guarantee
Our returns policy is simple! Our "no quibbles" guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, i.e. the item you have ordered is faulty, defective or you’ve had a 'Change of Heart' (which is fair enough) you must return it to us unused and in its original condition within 21 days for a prompt replacement, exchange or refund. (Note "Change of heart" does not apply to personalised items)

Returns
How do I return an item?
Simply E-mail us at returns@birchwoodcraft.co.uk with your order reference number, contact details and reason for returning your item(s). One of our customer support team will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Code that will enable us to process your return quickly and efficiently. You Must obtain a Returns Authorisation Code before sending anything back to us or we will not be able to process your return. Please read below for more information.

To give you a few pointers on how we manage our returns, here are some simple and easy to follow guidelines:-

Faulty or defective items: If you return an item because of an error on our part, or it is defective, we will be happy to exchange the item or give you a full refund provided the item(s) are returned to us within 21 days of purchase, although we will not be responsible for the return postage costs. You are responsible for any other service provided to you in connection with your purchase, e.g. gift wrapping.

Change of heart: Goods returned to us because of a change of heart must be unused and in perfect, re-saleable condition (including product packaging, instructions, etc), otherwise we will not be able to refund you. You are responsible for any other service provided to you in connection with your purchase, eg gift wrapping and delivery cost. We will not be able to refund the cost of delivery charges you paid for when ordering the goods. The item(s) must be returned within 21 days of purchase. When first opening your purchase, please do so carefully somewhere clean and safe - we can't replace muddy, scratched, damaged, torn or grass-stained Items. (Note "Change of heart" does not apply to personalised items)

Perishable or Personalised goods: We are unable to accept returns of perishable or personalised goods. You are responsible for all spellings of words and names submitted on our site to personalise your goods eg (name on FREE). We would advise you to double check all spellings before submitting your order.

Returning a gift: We are happy to exchange faulty or defective products that have been sent as a gift. If you are returning an item but would like to exchange it for something else and you’re not sure what, we are happy to issue a gift voucher for the value of the item you are returning. If a refund is required however, please note that refunds of the purchase price for items bought as gifts can only be given to the original purchaser and will not include the postage and packaging costs. The item(s) must also be returned within 21 days of purchase.

Items lost in transit: We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit: as you are responsible for returning the item(s) to us, we recommend sending the package by Recorded/Special Delivery if in any doubt.

Refunds, replacement and exchanges: Refunds For items that are defective or faulty and sent back to Birchwood Crafts within 21 days or the result of a Change of Heart and sent back to Birchwood Crafts within 21 days, a refund, replacement or exchange will be processed within approx 7 working days of receipt of the returned item(s) by Birchwood Crafts. A refund will be made in the same form of payment that was used to make the initial purchase or by cheque made payable to the purchaser of the item as stated on the invoice.

Please note, in all instances Birchwood Crafts shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses, including but not limited to lost profits or other economic or commercial losses. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Complaints Procedure
Birchwood Crafts takes its relationships with customers very seriously, and we expend a great deal of effort ensuring that we keep you happy. We aim to reply to e-mails within one working day of receipt, whether they're enquiries or, heaven forbid, complaints. All your feedback is appreciated, although we prefer good news!
